Day 11 - A book you hated
The Stranger by Albert Camus. I hated this book. I get it, I absolutely understand what I’m supposed to understand about this book and I am ever grateful that my high school French teacher said we could read it in English rather than having to track down a copy in French (which also sort of defeats the purpose of learning French in the first place - except that I was shit at French), but hated this book. I literally threw the book across the room when I’d finished and left it there until it was due back at the library. Nihilism is not for me. How can a person have zero opinion about anything? How can a person murder someone and not have any feelings about it one way or the other. Meursault is a sociopath.
